Day 01 :

Kalimpong
Fly from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur - 50 minutes and transfer to the border. After formalities, we drive to Kalimpong (1250m) - 83 kms.
Night in Kalimpong.

Day 02 :

Flowers Nurseries
This morning, you discover flowers nurseries. Kalimpong produces 80% of India’s gladioli and is a significant orchid-growing area. From here, flowers and cacti are exported to many cities across the world.
During afternoon, you visit the Tharpa Choling Monastery, belonging to the Gelugpa Sect and the Zong Dog Palri Fo Brang Gompa also known asDurpin Monastery which contains all 108 volumes carried by Dalai Lama in his exile. Later on you are welcomed at Gauripur House, one of the favourite place of the great Indian poet, Rabindranath Tagore, from where he wrote many of his works.

Day 03 :

Lachung
During the morning you are transferred to Lachung (2680m) - 80 kms.
This afternoon, you discover Lachung Village. This place of incredible splendor has been affirmed as the "most picturesque village of Sikkim" and indeed, a visit to Lachung is certainly a rare opportunity to comprehend Sikkim in the best possible manner.

Day 04 :

Yumthang Valley
Excursion to Yumthang Valley, also called the Valley of Flowers which is 25 kms from Lachung. Yumthang is a spectacle of alpine pastures, rhododendron forest and snow-cloaked peaks of the Himalayas of India. On the way back to Lachung, you stop at the sulphur hot springs considered to have medicinal properties.

Day 05 :

Gangtok
Today you drive to Gangtok (1437m) - 120 kms. En route, you visit Phodong Monastery which houses 260 monks and Tashi View Point which offers great sceneries over the mountains.

Day 06 :

Enchey Monastery,
Your day starts with the visit of Enchey Monastery, 200 years old. This Gompa was built on a site blessed by Lama Druptab Karpo, a master known for his power of flying. Later on, you discover the Governement Institute of Cottage Industries where you can watch students being taught the traditional art of Thangkha paintings alog with weaving, wood carving and carpet making.
During afternoon you drive through picturesque terraced fields toRumtek Monastery, the seat of His Holiness, the Gyalwa Karmapa, head of the Kagyupa Sect.

Day 07 :

Tsomgo Lake,
Today is an excursion to Tsomgo Lake, located at 3780 meters and 40 kms from Gangtok. Half frozen till mid April, Tsomgo Lake is one of the most interesting sightseeing destinations in Sikkim. The Yaks embellished with their “Welcome to Sikkim” headbands, are popular for a short ride near the lake.
Later during afternoon, you have time in Gangtok city doing shopping and buying souvenirs.

Day 08 :

Pelling
After breakfast, your journey to Pelling (2070m) starts - 117 kms.
This afternoon you visit different places such as Khangchendzonga WaterfallsSewaro Rock Garden and Khecheopalri Lake which is called “Wishing Lake” and surrounded by the dense forest.

Day 09 :

Sangachoeling Monastery
In the early morning, a one hour hike up takes you to theSangachoeling Monastery where you get enchanting views of the Kangchenjunga Range. After breakfast, you go to Pemayangtse Monastery. Also called Royal Monastery, this gompa has been built in 1705 to house all the religious activities of the monarch or Chogyal.
After lunch you are transferred to Darjeeling (2040m) - 118 kms.

Day 10 - 11 :

Tiger Hill
Your day starts with an early sunrise view from the Tiger Hill. The view from this point is unforgettable for colours changing from grey to pink to luminous gold over Himalayas.
After breakfast, you visit the Tibetan Self-Help Refugee Centre where you can see Tibetan craftsmen making traditional items such as carpets, woolen boots or wood carvings. Later on, you will be transferred to theHimalayan Mountaineering Institute, the house of Late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa who first climbed Mt Everest with Hillary in 1953.
During afternoon, you visit Ghoom Monastery which enshrines an image of “Coming Buddha” and the Bengal Natural History Museum.
Night in Darjeeling.

Day 12 :

Bhadrapur-Kathmandu
Fly from Bhadrapur to Kathmandu - 50 minutes.
